So, Where are You Going to Sleep Tonight?

These are the words my hubby spoke to me at about 1:30 am the night we celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary!

No, we weren't fighting.

We had just finished watching a movie - a good one, by the way, The Blind Side - and we were preparing to turn in for the night (morning?!).  I was walking toward our bed, when all of a sudden something small and furry scrambled across the floor just in front of my right foot.  GASP!  I can't stand it when furry spiders surprise me!  I can't stand it in those animated movies they put out for kids when the bad guy has spider legs - YUCK!  But I digress....

The hunt was on!  That nasty spider had the nerve to high-tail it under our bed.  Larry got on the floor and started pulling things out from under the bed (I probably shouldn't admit there are things under our bed that there shouldn't be - LOOK!  the library book I've been looking for for 3 months! - but life happens.)  The spider darted out the other side - under the table, no, behind the stack of books, now back under the bed!

Ok, teamwork was necessary.  I scared the spider from my side, and Larry pounced on it when he darted out his side.  (I have no idea if it was a male, I'm just assuming, here.)  Larry is my hero!

Scary episode over, it took me nearly 30 minutes to settle down after that, and I did eventually brave sleeping in our bed for the rest of the night.  And THAT is how our 21st anniversary ended.  Not so romantic, but nevertheless, successful!

No surprise to me about Larry being your HERO!~... He was raised that way..to honor & protect his loved ones..Well, I might be a little prejudiced, but you two do make a wonderful couple, not to mention those FIVE marvelous children. (My Grandchildren) Thanks!! Love you both.
